This retreat dedicated to the Higher Kriyas begins on Friday evening, and includes Initiations in the Second Kriya and the Third and Fourth Kriyas. It concludes with a Review of the Third and Fourth Kriyas on Sunday morning.

If you have already received the Third and Fourth Kriya Initiations, this weekend will be an opportunity for you to clarify your understanding, deepen your practice, and lovingly support those who are newly entering into the higher dimensions of Kriya.

Please note: It is in the Second Initiation that the blessing and actual Initiation occurs. Therefore participating in this Initiation is required to participate in the Third and Fourth Initiation.

Kirtani Stickney has been on the path of Self-realization and a disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda since 1974. She came to Ananda Village in 1975, where several years she served as co-director. In 1980 she was appointed minister by Swami Kriyananda and co-directed the first of center for Ananda teachings in Italy in Rome. Since 1985 Kirtani has been serving Yogananda's work in Europe through the Ananda Center in Assisi, of which she is the spiritual director. In 1993, she became the first Kriyacharya in Europe.

Anand Stickney became a disciple of Yogananda and embarked on the path of Self-realization in 1973. He lived for many years in Ananda Village, California. His experience, dictated by deep meditation, is highly valued by students of Raja Yoga. In 2005 he was authorized by Swami Kriyananda to give initiation into Kriya Yoga. He is spiritual co-director, along with Kirtani, of the Ananda community in Assisi, Italy. He travels frequently in Europe giving lectures and seminars on Self-realization and Kriya Yoga.

Mayadevi Lauer was born in Germany, where she and her husband Helmut first met Swami Kriyananda in 1979. For many years Mayadevi has been involved with the Kriya Sangha, helping devotees prepare for Kriya initiation, then following them in the proper execution of the techniques. Mayadevi spends most of her time with correspondence and talking to devotees about their spiritual lives. Her joy and satisfaction is found in helping others deepen their understanding of kriya and practice it with ease. She speaks Italian and English fluently and is one of Ananda's Lightbearers and Kriyacharya.
